Fashion Trends for Spring/ Summer/ Fall/ Winter.

“What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick, Fashion is instant language.” “Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment,” “Fashion is like eating; You shouldn’t stick to the same menu.”

A look was served.

Fashion is a non-verbal way of communication that conveys a lot about the person’s personality, background and style. Earlier it was exclusively the world of the affluent, celebrities and royalty. However, fashion is now within the reach of the common man, especially the youth. Besides, dress fashion is an evolution of ideas, which begins as a fad, but in course of time gets accepted in society as a style, which could be in attire, behaviour or lifestyle. Fashion is mostly associated with glamour. It makes people feel confident and bold. People can express themselves openly. Today fashion is not limited to western countries; now, every country has come out with their fashion sense, not only the clothing but the accent of that country, the living style.

The truly fashionable are beyond fashion.

“Moms Who Need to be Stylish Yet Comfortable”

How to Choose a dress that can make you stylish yet comfortable mom

It’s not easy to be a mom. As a mom, you always have to sacrifice a lot about yourself whether it is about your love life, the things you do for self-pampering, and most importantly your dress selection. Everything you do is according to the convenience of your child. This is the reason many moms out there have left all the fashions and become simple moms. But it’s not good at all every girl wants to do fashion and it is their right as well

  1. Accessorize: A mom can go with any type of accessories as they want because a nice and elegant accessory can make you look chick and a young mommy too.

2. Heels: Heels are the favorite ones among young girls because they make them look sexy, stylish, tall, and classy. My tip for moms is to go for chunky heels as they will help you to run after your kids and at the same time, you will look gorgeous.

3. Use of blazers: Moms should try to use blazers with their maximum everyday outfits. Firstly, these blazers will cover their bodies properly. Secondly, they can pair this blazer with a shirt, jeans, sneakers, and extra-large tote bags. So, they can look cool and comfortable at the parallel time.

Jeans! Here’s How to Wear Them

So-called “jeans” tend to have a bad rap. But why? There is nothing wrong with a pair of jeans that are comfortable, flattering and easy to wear with just about anything.

The beauty of this is precisely in its versatility and timelessness. It boasts cool-girl street cred, yet it’s also a little bit old-school. So how do you wear this style born in the 1980s that’s experiencing such a magical 21st- century revival? Check out these tips for styling your jeans.

How to Style Jeans

  1. Choose a sleek top

Jeans aren’t sleek, fitted, or anything remotely like your favourite pair of skinnies.

To balance the volume of your mom jeans, opt for something sleeker on top. A bodysuit works well if your jeans are especially full. Or, you can try a form-fitting tee plus a pair of heels.

Whichever your choice, make sure you have stylish belt and shoes to complete the ensemble. Say yes to sleek, pointed-toe pumps. And opt for a hard pass on canvas belts and any belt that came free with another pair of pants.

2. Crop the top

No need to hide your jeans just because they’re high rise and slightly different from what you might normally pull. Show off this by pairing them with a crop top. It’s a great choice for a casual summer day – all you need is a pair of strappy wedges to complete the look.

3. Add a blazzer

Though they boast a casual vibe, jeans look right at home with something structured. A pair of heels completes the look perfectly.

4. Bring some leather to the mix.

Jeans aren’t exactly know for being edgy, so a dose of rough-and-tumble is a very good thing. A cropped leather jacket toughens up the whole ensemble just enough. Then, you can slip anything on underneath to change the tone of the outfit – a stripped top is a great way to soften it a little bit.

Mix Vintage and Modern

Fashion can be a lot of fun, especially if you like playing with styles and eras and adding a personal touch to your outfits. The outfits don’t necessarily need to be trendy; famous brands have freshly placed modern pieces on the market.

Vintage pieces can add uniqueness to your combinations only if done right. We certainly avoid looking outdated.

Mixing and matching vintage and modern is crucial to keep in mind to avoid looking like you are wearing a costume.

Some ways to mix Vintage and Modern

  1. Go Basic Vintage

Focusing on vintage basics is always the safest way to mix and match. Choose plain shirts, delicate sweaters,or an oversized top, match it with high waist skirts or pants, and add a statement coat.

Dress down a skirt with a t-shirt and sneakers, or dress it up with heels and a beautiful silk shirt.

2. Center Around One Vintage Piece

You can not go wrong by centering your modern outfit around one vintage piece. If you have a vintage item that you love but doesn’t fit into the rest of your wardrobe, the best advice is to keep it simple. It may be a piece with a bold print, beads, vibrant colors, ruffles, or whatever the style was ‘in’ at the time.

Tone it by selecting the simplest modern pieces in your wardrobe. You can even purchase some secondhand clothing items. It it’s your vintage shirt, try it with classic jeans, or wear a simple dress underneath that bold jacket you have lying around for decades.

Vintage pieces may look outdated, but when combined with simple, clean, and modern elements, they can make a trendy outfit that everyone will love.

3. Let Style Icons be an Inspiration

We always look up to famous figures for inspiration on fashion and trends. They are known to make bold combinations by mixing styles and eras and creating new fashion trends. Yes, the pieces they wear are usually designer items and relatively expensive, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have something similar to what they have.

Try their combinations of clothing items with vibrant colours and accessories to create undeniably fashionable outfit. Some style icons are always on the hunt to find unique must-have pieces that will make them stand out in the crowd. They don’t always follow the fashion trend herd.

4. Accessories Vintage or Modern

Vintage stores are filled with accessories like bags, sunglasses, belts, and more, that you can add to your trendy combinations. You may subtly add some vintage to your modern outfit by adding a vintage scarf or bag.

Vintage bags and sunglasses are used by designers all the time because they add elegance to the combinations.

5. Timeless Jewelry Pieces

Jewelry never goes out of style. Wheather it’s a classic pieces or representing a specific era, earrings, necklaces, rings, or bracelets can work well with your outfit. You can also try playing with antique brooches. They are uncommon and may be added to tops, shirts, a hat, or attached to a material belt.

6. Shoes and Socks

Vintage shoes can be quite an exciting mix of a modern combination. They have smaller heels than the modern ones, making them more comfortable on your feet.

There’s a negative vibe to wearing sandals with socks, but they can look intriguing when styled in the right way. Give it a try; the uncommonness of styling might be your thing.

How To Dress After 40 and Look Hip?

HOW TO DRESS AFTER 40 – WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU SHOULD AVOID?

Below are a few general guidelines on what to avoid doing in terms of style after 40, style over 50 or any age above.

  1. DON’T BUY CLOTHES THAT DO NOT FLATTER YOU, EVEN IF THEY ARE ON TREND THIS SEASON.

You may be tempted by a new trend but, when thinking about how to dress after 40, it’s wise to be picky. Only choose those that suit your personality and your body type.

2. TRY NOT TO BE TOO MATCHY-MATCHY OR TOO POLISHED

It’s nice to mix things up and be a bit more playful. A 2-piece suit will quickly look old. Better to mix that jacket with another skirt or pants and look effortlessly chic.

3. AVOID BUYING FABRICS THAT LOOK CHEAP (OR ARE CHEAP AND POORLY MADE) AS THEY ARE USUALLY NOT FLATTERING OR WILL NOT LAST

Look for beautiful natural fabrics like silk, cotton, linen and cashmere and you will enjoy them for years to come. Think about your purchase in terms of cost per wear rather than initial price.

Avoid Fabrics that don’t drape well or cling.

Wear a classic wool coat that will be on trend year after year.

4. WEARING TIGHT AND TIGHT TOGETHER

Of course there are many exceptions but in general tighter items like leggings look better when they are combined with wide pieces like a tunic or wider shirt.

That also applies to skirts. Aim to have either a tight-skirt with a loser top or vice versa.

DRESSING OVER 40: WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU SHOULD DO MORE OF?

  1. KNOW YOUR STYLE

Nothing is more important than dressing in a way that pleases and represents you. There’s no such thing as one style of “fashion for older women” that suits everyone.

For example: (Above photo) she wears a loose top over a loose skirt. However, she still looks absolutely incredible, particularly with the addition of a pair of edgy boots – proof that you should stick to your style and not be afraid to experiment.

2. DETERMINE THE WARDROBE ESSENTIALS THAT ARE UNIQUE TO YOUR STYLE.

Not everyone will have the same wardrobe essentials. This will depend on your lifestyle and your style personality.

But having a collection of wardrobe essentials in your closet will make dressing every day so much easier – and more stylish.

3. HAVE MORE LASTING HIGH QUALITY ITEMS IN YOUR WARDROBE.

These vary for each style personality but some important classics are:

• A white button down shirt. • A long coat. • A beautiful dress that fits you perfectly. Don’t automatically go for a little black dress. Many women over 40 will actually look better in a colorful dess. • Well fitted long pants. • A well fitted blazer. • A good pair of dark denim jeans that fit you well. Boot cut or straight leg is usually the most flattering style.

4. FASHION OVER 40: MIX AND MATCH DESIGNER ITEMS WITH YOUR NON-DESIGNER ONES.

Looks classic and classy, teaming her black suit with a Hermēs bag and Prada heels. Note, she adds a little edge to her look with her fishnets.

5.LOOK EFFORTLESSLY CHIC

Take a good critical look at yourself before you go out and see if you look too overdone. When thinking about fashion at 50, over 40 or any age above, the aim is to look effortlessly chic so just evaluate and if necessary you may have to add on something a bit more casual.

(Above) wears an understated, but stylish outfit. She sticks to a palette of neutrals, but adds interest with her see-through block heels and on-trend ruched bag.

6.CHOOSE A SKIRT OR DRESS LENGTH THAT’S RIGHT FOR YOU

For many women dresses and skirts that are just above or on top of the knee are a great length for women over 40. Right now longer dresses are very much on trend as well and can be a great style for older women to choose.

7.PLAY WITH ACCESSORIES

Wear accessories like belts, jewelries and scarves. They can make a real difference to your outfit.

8. WEAR HIP AND CURRENT SHOES

These add an instant young and hip vibe to your outfits.

Make sure to choose shoes that you are able to walk in. Mid high heels can look fabulous.

(Above) wears shoes with an edgy cutout. You could get the same look with a pair of pointed toe loafers if you don’t want to wear a heel.

9. INVEST IN A PAIR OF FLATTERING JEANS

Your jeans can be the mainstay of your closet as they go with so many other things, and can be dressed up or down.

Opt for a style which flatters your figure rather than the latest on-trend jeans shape.

(Above) wears a pair of bootcut jeans, which are back on-trend for this season, and can have a leg-lengthening effect, particularly when worn with heel.

10. WEAR WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL AMAZING

The most important “rule” of all is to wear what makes you feel confident. That way, you’ll have a spring in your step and you’ll be ready for whatever the day brings.

WEAR WHAT FEELS RIGHT FOR YOU!

I want to emphasize again that these tips are not set in stone and it’s up to you to decide what works best for you. But if you want to look young and hip, then these guidelines can certainly help you.

How To: Stay Warm and Stylish in Winter

Let’s talk about a topic that is very close to my heart. Winter.

You either choose warmth or style. Honestly, rarely anybody looks good in winter. But being stylish in winter is nearly impossible. But I’m here to tell you that there is hope! Here are couple of tricks that will help you stay warm and stylish this winter.

  1. Turtleneck

For a cold day, double up on Turtlenecks. Wear a tight, thin turtleneck underneath a bulkier, thick one.

2. Thermal tights.

similar to the thinner turtlenecks, thermal tights go underneath your outfit and won’t be seen. But they are key to keeping you warm, especially is you’ll be outside for long period of time.

3. Long Socks.

This is key for staying warm. You can either show them off if they’re long enough or have them tucked under your tall boots. Even if you’re not wearing warm boots, you can double up on long socks to stay warm.

4. Tall boots.

This is another item that will actually affect your look. Nice fitted tall boots can keep your shape in the winter. Look for boots that hit just below the knees and are tightly fitted around the calves. This will help you look less bulky.

5. Scarves.

Scarves are also in my opinion the ultimate key to staying warm and looking sophisticated in the winter time. It adds colours, patterns, and textures to any dull winter outfit. And without scarves and hats, everyone’s going to look the same in their big coat.

6. Hats

Hats of any kind will help, keep your head warm. You’ll want to protect your ears from the chilling cold.

7. Nice Jackets.

It’s preferably wool or faux fur (cuz the age of real fur is long gone), lined for extra warmth. It fits you perfectly. ESPECIALLY around the shoulders to avoid looking boxy or too bulky. It’s longer and hits somewhere between mid thigh to just below the knees OR if you wanna go big, the coat hits your ankles (the longer the coat, the warmer you’ll be).

Teddy bear coats and puffer jackets are also huge this winter and are literally the warmest things ever.

8. Layers

Honestly, just remember to later. You have your basic outfit. Add on to your routine • scarf •hat, do not leave the house without these things. This is VIRTUAL TO YOUR WINTER SURVIVAL.

How To Dress For A Formal Event

So for the men, think tuxedos with a bowtie or a stylish customized suit with a statement tie. Ladies, you have many options, from the little black dress, colourful jumpsuit, and A-line gown, or a formal knee-length cocktail dress; you can’t go wrong. No matter what you choose to wear, remember to accessories.

What to Wear to (Pretty Much) Every Occasion

Finally, your go-to guide for how to dress at different events, from wedding to wakes, and everything in between.

Weddings, networking events, funerals, job interviews, barbecues, holiday parties, baby and bridal shower – what do they all have in common? It’s always confusing to figure out what to wear to them. What you wear to any of these occasions depends on so many factors: the venue, the formality of the invite, the weather, and often what everyone else plans to wear. But there are still some general sartorial standards to look to for guidance. (And remember that most dress code “rules” are more like guidelines – with a few exceptions, like avoiding wearing white to a wedding.

Formal Events

Cocktail Party, Engagement Party, and Most Weddings

The party dress code for one of these relatively fancy events will likely be “cocktail attire” (although they’re not quite as fancy as a black-tie party). So opt for a cocktail dress – you can’t go wrong with a little black dress or a stand-out jewel-tone or pastel number. You can also mix it up with dressy separates.

One more thing to note is that different cities have their own dress codes. There’s no overthink it, but it’s good to keep in mind.

Holiday Party, Dinner Party, or “Festive Attire” Event

These occasions let you push the limits on glitz and color. So, in essence, almost anything goes, as long as it’s nice ve enough to suit the venue and occasion. Have fun with a statement necklace or earrings that wow. Then, pair it with a colorful dress, a sleek jumpsuit, or a festive top paired with a fun midi skirt or Palazzo pants.

Religious Ceremony

Rely on a preety daytime dress, maybe in a petal or floral, or a suit paired with feminine underpinnings and accents. Avoid anything low cut, short, or clingy, and bring a light sweater, blazer, or near jacket to cover up sleeveless styles. If there’s a reception immediately following the ceremony, and no time to change in between, wear a cocktail dress or dressy pants with a jacket or wrap to cover up in the temple or church.

Casual Events

Outdoor, Or More Casual Wedding

Assuming an outdoor wedding is happening when the weather’s warm, opt for a flowy sundress, a glam maxi dress, or a stylish shift dress. It’s not that black isn’t allowed, but lighter and brighter shades – often feel more appropriate. Also, shoot for shades that complement the natural surroundings, like blues, greens, yellows, and coral. Finally, when it comes to shoes, stick with flat soles for any event where you’ll be either on a lawn or on the beach.

“For day weddings, which tend to be more casual, steer clear of anything heavily beaded or sequined”. Instead, opt for a knee-length dress in a material like cotton; in warmer weather or regions, strapless styles and open-toed shoes get the nod of approval.
